Eyeliner Products Knowledge
comes in four basic formulas:
Liquid eyeliner is a colored liquid that is applied with a fine-tip brush. Liquid stay on the longest and looks the most dramatic. You can also find it in felt-tip pens orwith a pointed, sponge-tip applicator. Liquid liner is a good choice to use with strip false eyelashes because it successfully conceals the band of the lash. Liquid eyeliner should only be applied along the top lashline, never along the bottom lashline, because it looks too harsh and unatural.
Cake eyeliner is a pressed powder-like product that is applied with a damp brush. It will give you a similar effect to liquid eyeliner, but it's much easier to control.
Creme eyeliner is usually packaged in a pot and is applied using a damp brush. It will also give you a similar effect to liquid eyeliner. the fact that it dries much quicker makes it much easier to use without smearing it all over the place.
Pencil is the most commonly used eyeliner simply because it;s the easies to control. There are many pencil textures available. Some are drier and harder and some are creamier and glide on effortlessly. In the past, many women felt the need to soften their hard, dry pencils using a lighter or a match. thankfully, most pencils now contain silicone that enables them to glide on smoothly and makes them easy to smudge and blend. The best choice is a pencil with just enough silicone to glide on easily, but not so much that it smears or travels. Make sure your pencil is at least water-resistant so it will stay put and not smudge.
Tip:
Remember that sharpenning your pencil often will make it easier to use.
Eyeliner - Color Choice
No matter what your eye color is, choose neutral shades of eyeliner, such as taupe, black, or brown, to shape and define your eyes. Colored eyeliners can help draw atten tion to your eyes by making the color "pop", but I recommend saving them for when you want to make a more dramatic makeup statement.
