Makeup-Brush - Look after your makeup tools
Cleaning makeup tools
Remember to wash makeup brushes, powder puffs and makeup sponges regularly to keep them clean and pleasant to use. Use mild soap or gentle washing-up liquid and water. Rub a small amount of washing-up liquid into the bristles, rinse under running water and leave to dry on a piece of kitchen roll.
Storing makeup
In order to get best results and to ensure your makeup has the longest possible shelf life, it is worth thinking of how and where to store your makeup.
* Keep makeup in a dry, shaded place.
* Do not leave makeup in direct sunlight or in a warm place..
* Only carry with you make-up that you need for touching up during the day.
Shelf life of makeup
With these small Tips, you will be able to increase the shelf life of your makeup.
* Do not add water or any other substances to liquid makeup (mascara, foundation etc.), even if the product feels hard. Buy new mascara or foundation instead.
* Do not allow anyone else to use your mascara as it collects bacteria from the eye. It is good to change your mascara every 3-4 months for the same reason. Replaced regularly, mascara stays fresh and can be applied precisely and evenly onto your lashes without caking. Those wearing contact lenses should change their mascara even more regularly.
* Clean the mascara brush every now and then with a clean facial tissue. Never clean the mascara brush with water! A clean brush will create beautiful, defined lashes without caking.
* Avoid pumping air into the mascara with the brush as it will go dry and hard.
* Store the powder puff on top of the plastic sheet provided or upside down in the compact; this will prevent oil from the skin from collecting on the surface of the powder.
* If you have not used your nail polish for a while, revive it by rolling it between the palms of your hands in order to mix the ingredients together. Do not shake the bottle as this creates air bubbles in the polish.
* Remember to carefully close the lid after use. This will stop makeup from drying out or spoiling.
